Meet the TFC: Katie

by | Aug 18, 2020 | Meet the TFC

Hi, I’m Katie, and I am 16 years old. I had Rb when I was eight (nearly nine), which, as you probably know, is quite unusual because most people are younger. It does come with the interesting consequence that I remember everything which happened. My right eye was removed, but luckily I had no further treatment.

I have a really wide range of things I enjoy. At my secondary school I loved being involved in the extra-curricular life, and ended up being the pupil leader of many music clubs as well as the Eco Group, which I found really fun.

Outside school I play the violin and I am part of the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra (HCYO). I am also interested in history- especially family history and love the puzzles it presents. If I had to describe myself, I would say I was organised, energetic, fun loving and definitely a little bit quirky!
